Every factual claim on this site follows the rules on this page. They exist because local-service content is routinely wrong in ways that cost readers money.
Source hierarchy
Official sources are used first, in this order of preference: the City of Mobile, Mobile County, Alabama Power, Alabama Cooperative Extension, the Alabama Department of Insurance, the Alabama Attorney General, and the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries. National editorial cost guides are used only for national cost context, only with the publisher name and publication date attached, and always labeled national — not local. A competitor's page is never a factual basis for anything published here.
Verification dates
Regulatory facts carry a visible verification date — currently July 27, 2026 for the permit, utility, debris, and consumer-protection facts on the main guide. The date changes only when a fact is materially rechecked against its source. It never advances automatically on a rebuild or redeploy, so a fresh date always means a fresh check.
Corrections
Anyone may flag an error: send the page URL and the issue via the contact page. A confirmed material error is corrected on the page, and the fact's verification date is updated to the recheck date.
AI assistance
Drafting and production of this site use AI assistance. Facts are not delegated to it: every regulatory claim, phone number, fee, and agency reference is checked against the official source named in the hierarchy above before publication, and the verification dates reflect those checks — not the drafting process.
What is prohibited
- Fabricated reviews or testimonials.
- Fabricated projects, photos, or before-and-after galleries.
- Fabricated credentials, addresses, availability, or local experience.
- Invented local prices.
- Any determination of permit status, tree risk, or insurance coverage — the City, a qualified evaluator, and the insurer make those, respectively.
